I think of Dana as a sister. A few years ago, I remember sitting with Dana at her mom’s kitchen table and telling her that someday she will find someone and it will feel right. She (in true girl fashion) highly doubted me. But when she met Nathanael, just that happened. I first met Nathanael at my wedding and upon meeting him I knew Dana was in that beautiful, perfect place of finding love.

Dana and Nathanael’s engagement session was the first session I shot with my new set-up and what a great way to start. We started shooting on Gaylord Street in the Wash Park area of Denver, where I had met Dana to discuss her wedding plans just a few weeks prior. It was the first day that it really felt like fall for me and it was a beautiful back drop for their passionate, giddy love.

They were so comfortable being themselves in front of the camera and me. And it really showed in their images. I felt like I captured them, from their “i’m completely into you” gazes to their fun and joyful laughter. This is the kind of shoot I wish I could always have. I can not wait to shoot their wedding in Evergreen this summer. Enjoy!
