I originally met Ellen through my best friend. They were co-workers at an AVEDA salon in Colorado Springs. I was honored when Ellen came to me to shoot her wedding. Soon after they were engaged, Adam’s father went missing on his snowmobile. Once I found that they were still planning on having the wedding despite such heart breaking news, I really wanted to do my part to make this a fun and seamless wedding. I felt an even heavier burden to do a wonderful job for them and make the memories of this celebration beautiful.

Ellen and Adam’s wedding was definitely a lot of fun. They took the weekend and went with a bunch of their friends up to Crested Butte, where they camped in some mountain cottages and spent the weekend doing some outdoor mountain activities. Their wedding was held on a little grassy courtyard that overlooked the most beautiful mountain scene a Colorado summer could create. It was a bright and extremely colorful day. The sky was the most remarkable color of blue and the natural beauty of the Colorado mountainside was the perfect backdrop. In good old Colorado style, there was a keg machine with 2 Colorado brews on tap and smores for dessert. They had the perfect Crested Butte style wedding.

I was really amazed by the love that Ellen and Adam had for each other. It wasn’t the giddy, young love but a rich and deep love. You could see how comfortable they were with each other and the comfort they took in each others arms. Many blessings to you Adam and Ellen.
