So on my little adventure in Pittsburgh, I couldn’t help but go to the Andy Warhol Museum and see some Pop Art greatness with my own two eyes. It was really inspiring to walk through the creative and masterful pieces of art that he created. We saw the famous Campbell Soups and walked amidst some massive paintings. One interesting peice was a long canvas that had copper splatters on it. At first glance, it looks pretty simple and like something that you have probably seen before. Then we read the artist statement for this master piece and took a couple steps back. Apparently, Warhol was interested in Chemistry and how different chemicals when combined made different colors. He somehow figured out that when you mixed a certain chemical with urine it made brillant metallic colors depending on the vitamins and nutritional supplements present. He had his assistants pee on the canvas to make these big metallic splashes. hmmm. . . never thought of that.

Afterwards, we got some sodas from the cafe, took some pictures in the photobooth (of course) and looked around in the gift shop.
