Man, I love these two! I met Donna & Mike long before this session. They got engaged and were in no hurry to rush to a wedding. These two have been living life together for a while and just wanted to have fun and enjoy with the process. We had many coffee dates and by the time I shot their engagement and wedding, I felt like I really knew who they were and saw them as friends. We rarely talked about weddings and mostly talked about life which made meetings with these two awesome. I don’t think they would describe their ideal day as being in front of the camera (especially Mike). Many people share their sentiment. They chose me because I was laid back and not pushy. I wanted them to be them and I wasn’t going to shove them into a box of what traditional wedding photography dictates. We were very honest with each other while shooting. They knew I could shoot all day and I knew that they definitely had their limits. So when they were done, I was okay with being done too. I think in the end we found a great middle ground – and got some great images from it too.
