If a wedding could embody a country song, this wedding would be Luke Bryan “Drunk on you” and maybe a little Miranda Lambert “Makin’ Plans”. The groom’s family farm was the perfect background to this rustic Colorado barn wedding. Brittany & Russ’s wedding was a hot summer day that was perfect for them. In an age of pinterest ADD, this couple stuck to who they were and created a beautiful wedding that showed their wonderful story as a couple. The ceremony took place in the yard that over looked the hay field and the Rocky Mountains. And the reception was held in a restored barn just 100 yards away.
My favorite part about this wedding was how everyone chipped in to make it so wonderful. The groom’s dad was moving hail bales 20 minutes prior to the ceremony so that the reception would look just right. There were cousins hang lights in the barn and all the aunts, moms and grandmas made homemade pies for desert. There was a wonderful sense of community at this wedding, a small town get together in a barn where everyone knew everyone else and danced the night away in celebration. I walked away from this wedding with my heart full of joy. What a wonderful couple and what a wonderful wedding!
