It is really no surprise the the winter’s in Seattle are rainy but I never understood the impact of the gray and the rain until this past winter. The lack of sunshine and the plain dreariness of the weather caused me to get cabin fever. I tried to find ways to cope with the horrible weather, most of these ways involved a camera or a book. On this particular day, I had sometime to drive up to Edmonds and sit by the water. I had forgotten the joy that the ocean brings to my heart. It was like the instance I saw that large expanse of water all my gloom and doom melted into its immensity. You are reminded of your own humanity and limitation and it is a wonderful feeling because for once their is something bigger sitting before you than the gray sky hanging above you.

Luckily, I had my camera with me this day so you get to share in the joy and freshness of the Pacific Northwest ocean. Enjoy.
